Robert J. Grether, 69, died Friday, March 29, 1996.

A native of Richmond, Va., Mr. Grether moved to Homosassa from Norfolk, eight years ago. He was a retired sales and marketing manager of a meat packing company and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. Mr. Grether was a member of the Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club, a member of the Naomi Masonic Lodge No. 87 in Norfolk, a member of the Norfolk Scottish Rite and the Khediue Shrine Temple in Chesapeake.

Surviving are a son, Stephen Grether of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Scott Wilson of Norfolk and Chuck Wilson of Warminister, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Ellen Curry of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, John A. Grether of Charleston, S.C., and William L. Grether of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Wilder-Fountains Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs is in charge.
