Maria Ardagna, 71, died Sunday, April 14, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Ardagna was born in Casablanca, Morocco, but raised her family in Rabat, Morocco, until 1968 when they moved to Chesapeake. Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Ardagna. She was Catholic.
She had retired as a seamstress with Wayside Cleaners, Portsmouth, after 17 years of service. She was an avid lottery ticket scratcher.
Survivors include her son, JoJo Ardagna, and his wife, Barbara; her two daughters, Madeleine Feagans and her husband Scott, and Danielle Ardagna, all of Chesapeake; her six grandchildren, David Hobbs, Nicole and Nicholas Ardagna, Joshua, Tonya, and Charlee Feagans, all of Chesapeake.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 1996, in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. James C. Griffin. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at her home, 2806 Cedar Cove Lane in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake.
