TICKETS FOR the Chicago and Crosby, Stills and Nash twin-bill June 1 at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.
Prices are $34.75 (gold circle), $24.75 (reserved) and $12.75 (festival lawn), and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets or ordered by calling 671-8100 or 872-8100 on the Peninsula.
Both groups have been rock-radio and concert-tour fixtures since their late-'60s, early-'70s heydays.
Ex-Byrd David Crosby; Stephen Stills, founder of folk rockers Buffalo Springfield; and Graham Nash, one of the original Hollies, released their self-titled debut in 1969. The record included Stills' ``Suite: Judy Blue Eyes'' and Nash's ``Marrakesh Express.''
Chicago's debut album, ``Chicago Transit Authority,'' came out the same year. Such tracks as ``I'm a Man,'' ``Questions 67 and 68'' and ``Beginnings'' blended the group's trademark rock guitar and neo-jazzy horns.
Tickets are available for other Amphitheater concerts: Rod Stewart (May 17), the Eagles (June 19), Steely Dan (July 6) and James Taylor (Aug. 6). Tickets for the May 15 opening concert featuring Bruce Hornsby go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Prices are $23, $15 and $10. by CNB
