LESTER E. ENGLEHART

Lester Ernest ``Doc'' Englehart, 71, departed this life April 16, 1996.

Originally from Weatherly, Pa., Doc was a Navy corpsman during World War II, stationed in the Philippines in 1945. He retired in 1980 from civil service as a general foreman, electrician, WS14, after serving over 38 years at the Norfolk Naval Base.

Doc is survived by his wife of 51 years, Letha; twin daughters, Jan Kincaid, and her husband, David, and Joan Elliott, and her husband, Barrett; five grandchildren, Allen and Letha Elliott, Debra and Jenny Kincaid, and Tanya Johnson, and her husband, Chris; two great-grandchildren, Dustin and Brandon Johnson; a brother, Henry Englehart, and his wife, Jean; sisters, Lillian Ritter, and her husband, Warren, Emma Halechko, and her husband, Bill, and Thelma Elflein, and her husband, Charlie; and brother-in-law, Andrew Bolish.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 1996, at McKendree United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Bruce Carper. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McKendree United Methodist Church, 6870 N. Military Highway, Norfolk, 23518 or a favorite charity. Arrangements are being handled by Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
