WalkAmerica to benefit the March of Dimes Birth Defect Foundation will be held Saturday, April 27, at Charles Creek Park, with the registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the walk beginning at 9 a.m.
Last year, more than 200 people and 17 teams in Elizabeth City raised $9,000.
Revenues raised through WalkAmerica are allocated for the Campaign for Healthier Babies. The campaign identifies and supports community-based and national grants, as well as free education programs that will impact the Albemarle area's infant health crisis.
