One man was killed and two wounded early Wednesday in two unrelated shootings, police said.
The first occurred in the 600 block of 12th St. shortly after midnight.
Pronounced dead at the scene was 28-year-old Reginald T. Bush of the 800 block of 31st St., said Patty Schlosser, spokeswoman for the Newport News Police Department. Also shot was Ramont Sharper, 26, of the 600 block of 12th St. Sharper was listed in stable condition at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
The second shooting occurred in the 1200 block of 23rd St. at 12:38 a.m.
Charles R. Richardson, 41, of the 1100 block of Hampton Ave. was shot during a dispute with an acquaintance, police said. Richardson was listed in stable condition at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Schlosser said.
