The last name of an Icelandic teenager, who found a message in a
bottle launched from North Carolina's Outer Banks, was misspelled in
a MetroNews article Wednesday. Her name is Kristin Johannsdottir,
not Johannsclottir.
Leanne K. Self was recognized as Virginia Beach teacher of the
year by the city's School Board and not the City Council, as stated
in a headline on the front page of Wednesday's MetroNews section.
Tracy Reiman is fish campaign coordinator for PETA (People for
the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Her name was misspelled in a
story Wednesday about a proposal to ban fishing protests.
An April 8 story on partisan voting patterns in the 1996 General
Assembly session failed to note the record of one assemblyman, Del.
William P. Robinson, D-Norfolk.
