Tidewater Regional Transit will hold citizen workshops to announce the results of the Norfolk/Virginia Beach Corridor Major Investment Study.
The report includes ridership and cost projections for several transportation alternatives along Route 44 and I-264, which connect the two cities.
Workshop dates are Monday at Virginia Beach Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.; Wednesdayat TRT, 1500 Monticello Ave., Norfolk; Thursday at Holiday Inn Executive Center, 5655 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach.
From 4 to 6 p.m., project team members will be available to answer questions. The presentation will begin at 6 p.m.
During the next month, the Tidewater Transportation District Commission will review study results and citizen comments and will adopt a locally preferred alternative. The Metropolitan Planning Organization and cities will then consider the proposal. For more information, call 461-0647. by CNB
