GREENBRIER MALL SEEKS NEW CUSTOMERS MALL OFFERS SHOPPERS FREE VALET PARKING, GIFT WRAPPING, WHEELCHAIR USE AND SHOPPING BAGS.

Shoppers at Greenbrier Mall are getting some unexpected help. The mall recently introduced a variety of free services for customers, including valet parking, gift wrapping, stroller and wheelchair use and shopping bags.

``We want to attract some new business,'' said Kimberly Wagner, marketing director for the mall. ``And we're looking for ways to position ourselves in a unique niche from other area malls.''

Greenbrier introduced their free services March 16. According to Wagner, shoppers were a little confused at first.

``The first few days we offered the valet service, we had about 12 people take advantage of it. But during the first weekend of April, more than 46 people used the service,'' she said.

Greenbrier Mall contracted the valet service out to Virginia Beach business D & T Enterprises. Wagner said she expects the valet service to gain in popularity especially during rainy or cold weather and at night.

Valet parking can be accessed at the main mall entrance near Mozzarella's Cafe. Free gift wrapping, stroller and wheelchair usage and free shopping bags are available at the mall's customer service center, located on the lower level, near Sears. by CNB
