Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge was the scene for a walking tour
and activities for Princess Anne Middle School sixth-graders. The
children visited habitat stations, saw creatures from marshes and
wetlands and used dip nets to get samples of pond life such as
duckweed and bugs. They also learned about loggerhead turtles and
saw hatchlings being released.
