THE VIRGINIA STAGE COMPANY - "DEATHTRAP"

WITH SO MANY thrillers on view, including the current movie hit ``Primal Fear,'' audiences are getting more and more adept at figuring out surprise endings. ``Deathtrap,'' at Virginia Stage Company through April 28, is a challenge, though, to even the most clever amateur detectives. Featuring Bruce Evers as a fading writer who is planning to kill young David DeBese in order to steal his thriller script, the play is pleasingly played for comedy. It's at 8 tonight, 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday, 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday and 8 p.m. Tuesday through next Friday at the Wells Theatre in Norfolk. Call 627-1234.

THE BLUE ANGELS plan on some serious sky dancing at this weekend's Azalea Festival Air Show at the Naval Air Station, Norfolk. These elite Naval aviators are not only celebrating the NATO festival's 43rd anniversary, but also the flight demonstration team's 50th anniversary. They'll put their F/A-18 Hornets through some wild, fast-paced maneuvers with perfect precision. Along with the high flying acrobatics there'll be aircraft exhibits, the jet truck Super SHOCKWAVE and children's activities. The pilots will also be the grand marshals in the Grand Parade at 7:30 tonight in downtown Norfolk. Air Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Gates open at 9 a.m. each day. Admission and parking is free. 622-2312.

READERS WERE LET IN on the roller-coaster love lives of Savannah, Bernadine, Robin and Gloria in Terry McMillan's 1992 best-seller. Last year, Whitney Houston and Angela Bassett starred in the $65-million hit movie based on the novel. So, odds are ``Waiting to Exhale'' will add to its impressive track record when it arrives on video Tuesday - especially since FoxVideo is pricing it to go at $19.98.

- Craig Shapiro ALL-4-ONE

It's one for all and All-4-One as the hit vocal quartet comes to Hampton Roads for a show as part of the 43rd International Azalea Festival. The group, which hit big with ``I Can Love You Like That'' and ``I Swear.''

The group's second visit to Hampton Roads is a homecoming of sort for singer Delious Kennedy, who lived in Chesapeake as a teen.

All-4-One performs at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Norfolk Naval Air Station, Hanger LP34. The show's free. Call 445-6647.
