BRUCE L. PRICKETT SR.

Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Bruce Lee Prickett Sr. died April 16, 1996.

He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 1953. After retiring from the Navy, he received a Master of Divinity degree from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley, Calif. He was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Albany, Calif. He served in various offices in the Episcopal Diocese of California.

He is survived by wife, Sally Davison Prickett ``Jill''; four children, Jennifer P. Andrews of Chesapeake, Dr. Stacey L. Prickett of Oakland, Calif., Bruce L. Prickett Jr. of Fremont, Calif., and Lynn A. Varallo of Coronado, Calif.; four grandchildren, Ross and Judith Andrews, Lauren Varallo, and Anthony Sun Prickett; and many friends.

A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday in Albany by the Rev. John M. Andrews and Father Jim Stickney. Memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St. Stephen of Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church, Chesapeake, or to Eastern Shore Chapel, Virginia Beach. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
