RUTH V. TOWE

Ruth V. Towe, 76, died April 17, 1996.

She was a native of Norfolk and was the widow of Deputy Chief Ernest M. Towe of the Norfolk Police Department. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star Virginia Chapter (NU)22, and the North American Benefit Association for more than 50 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy T. Ebersole, and her husband, Joseph, of Washington, D.C.; son, Robert W. Towe, and his wife, Nancy, of Chesapeake; sister, Doris Dederich, and her husband, Jerry, of Winter Park, Fla.; brother, Southgate L. Butt Jr., and his wife, Phyllis, of Hampton; two grandchildren, Lisa and Ashley Ebersole of Washington, D.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by Dr. John P. Mason in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her son in Chesapeake. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
