Daisy Ivey Deuell Ellis, 102, died Thursday, April 18, 1996.
A native of Surry County, Va., she was a lifelong Tidewater resident. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Sidney T. Ellis of Hampton; two brothers, Elvin Deuell of Newport News and Herman Deuell of Hampton; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 44 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Ellis, and three sons, James H. Ellis, Robert Ellis and Woodrow Ellis.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home by Dr. James E. White. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
