Bonnie Blackmon Holmes, 80, of the 5100 block of Portsmouth Blvd., died April 18, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. Holmes, the widow of Clarence A. Holmes, was a native of Smithfield and a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen B. Respess of Suffolk and Linda B. Dowson of Portsmouth; a sister, Willie Villines of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Garland Hines. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the home of Helen Respess, 4241 Dale Acres Drive, Suffolk. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
