Tom Collis Davis, 83, of the 4500 block of Columbia St., died April 18, 1996, in Suffolk.
He was a native of Northampton County, N.C., and retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad as a clerk. He attended Cottage Place United Methodist Church. He was past master of Fellowship Masonic Lodge (NU)148, 33 Degree Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Ollie L. Davis; a son, Larry E. Davis and his wife, Janet of Clearwater, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Davis; two brothers, Otha Davis of Wilson, N.C., Horace Davis of Asheboro, N.C.; a granddaughter, Heather Finnegan; four grandsons, Scott Davis, Westley Davis, Andy Davis, Jeff Davis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Davis.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. James D. Thomas. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Davis Family Cemetery, Conway, N.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cottage Place United Methodist Church.
