Lowell Fillmore Butts Sr., 61, of the 23000 block of Stave Mill Road, died April 18, 1996, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.
He was a retired truck driver and a native of Pitt County, N.C. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union (UAW).
He is survived by his wife, Frances P. Butts; daughter, Judith Ann Grimes of Windsor; two sons, Lowell F. Butts Jr. of Zuni and David A. Butts of Windsor; three grandchildren, E. Brandon Lee of Zuni, Dawn N. Butts and Angela M. Butts, both of Windsor. He was predeceased by his parents, Lorena Winfield Butts and Grover C. Butts.
A graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Jim Dunn in Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m and other times at the residence. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge.
