James Benjamin ``J.B.'' Wadsworth Jr., 72, of 610 South Main St., died Thursday, April 18, 1996, in the Brian Center.
He was a native of Bertie County, a member of Grace Episcopal Church, a World War II Navy veteran, and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Lyon Wadsworth; two daughters, Jean L. Wadsowrth of Swansboro, N.C., and Frances D. Wadsworth of Greenville, N.C.; two sons, James Benjamin Wadsworth III and Henry W. Wadsworth, both of Lewiston, N.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Walker Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Tom Chaffee. A private burial will follow. The family will receive friends at their residence. Memorial gifts may be made to the Caring Center, 701 West Olney Road, Norfolk, 23507, or to the charity of choice.
