Ronald ``Wayne'' Massie Jr., 27, the precious son of Ron and Eileen Massie of Norfolk, the adoring brother of Donna Massie of Denver, and the loving grandson of Rosalie Massie of Norfolk, died Friday, April 19, 1996, in a local hospital.
He was working as an electrician and will be remembered for his love of nature. He especially loved mountain biking, camping, fishing and skiing in the Rockies. He was loved so very much by his family and will be missed beyond measure.
Survivors other than his parents, sister and grandmother are four uncles, three aunts and numerous cousins, who all live in other states.
Wayne graduated from Norfolk Christian High School in 1986 and attended Old Dominion University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Norfolk Sunday at 3:30 p.m. A special section will be set aside for his childhood and school friends. The Rev. Richard E. Baker will preside. Wayne's cremains will be taken back to his favorite place on earth, the Rocky Mountains, where he will be entrusted to God. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Norfolk, Greenbrier Development Project, 312 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
