ALMARIAN JACKSON

Almarian ``Pat'' Jackson, 78, of 2105 Hollins Court, died April 8, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital after a prolonged illness.

A former resident of Washington, D.C., she and her husband recently moved to Chesapeake to live with their son and his family. Mrs. Jackson was retired from the District of Columbia Health Department.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John A. Jackson; son and his wife, Vashon C. and Beverly C. Jackson of Chesapeake; daughter, Alecia Velma Carter of Maryland; one sister from Chicago; three granddaughters in Maryland; two granddaughters in Chesapeake; one grandson; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be conducted at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., on April 25, 1996, from 7 to 8 p.m. Donations should be sent to The Williams School for the Almarian Jackson Fund established in her memory. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
