Mary F. Kaye Trafton died April 19, 1996 in Maryview Medical Center. She was the daughter of Hodie J. Ferguson of Centerville, Ala. and Katie Mae Nichols of Tuscaloosa, Ala. She had two brothers, Paul and Eugene, both deceased.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William B. Trafton; two daughters, Linda T. Summerhill and husband, J.D. Summerhill, of Casselbury, Fla., Donna T. James and husband, John H. James, of Portsmouth; two grandsons, J. Christian James and W. Ryan James of Portsmouth; two nieces; and one nephew.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, with the Rev. Kathryn L. Pigg officiating. Burial will be in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Broad Street United Methodist Church of the Arthritis Foundation.
