Mrs. Doris Bunch Peele, 77, of 1751 Rocky Hock Landing Road, died Saturday, April 20, 1996, in the Chowan Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. A native of Gates County, Mrs. Peele was a daughter of the late Ezeikel Andrew and Effa Miranda Riddick Bunch and the wife of the late Lloyd Marcus Peele. Mrs. Peele was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church and the Bertha Dale Women's Circle.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean P. Hill of Stafford, Va., and her son, Carroll Peele of Edenton; a brother, Elgin Bunch of Hobbsville, N.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Rocky Hock Baptist Church by the Rev. Ron Cava. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Rocky Hock Baptist Church Building Fund. Evans Funeral Home is in charge.
