Beatrice M. Smith, of the 200 block of South Newtown Road, died April 16, 1996, in a local nursing home.
She worked as a secretary for the United Order of Tents and was a member of First Baptist Church Bolling Brook, Norfolk. Mrs. Smith was also a member of the United Order of Tents and a member of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of William Smith and was a native of Bracey, Va.
She is survived by a niece, Karen Mayo of New York.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Clinton Brown in First Baptist Church Bolling Brook. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
