Thelma Harrell Carney, 85, of the 3100 block of Tournament Drive, died Saturday, April 20, 1996, in Maryview Nursing Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Harrell Fuller of Cambria Heights, N.Y., and Josephine Carney Felder of Chesapeake; two sisters, Carrie Nichols and Velma Babb Carrington of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Renee Vick, Deatra Fuller, Andre Fuller, Donna Jones, Denolis Henderson, Dorion Fuller and Davida Felder; 13 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Roosevelt Townsend is the presiding clergyman. Rogers Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling the arrangements.
