JAMES W. ESTEP

James W. ``Billy'' Estep, 49, died April 22, 1996, in his residence.

He was a native of Portsmouth and a member of Alexander Baptist Church, Portsmouth. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed as a hairstylist at Hair Gallery.

He is survived by his mother, Martha ``Tobie'' McKenry; wife, Suzanne Estep; two daughters, Tammy Lynn Britt and Tina Marie Bachman; son, Michael Sean Etheridge; two sisters, R. Minette Estep and Michele Langreder; two brothers, Joseph L. Estep, Charles Michael McKenry; a grandson; and a special friend, Nina Estep Beecher.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Sam Beiler. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
