Christine Talton Allsbrook, 89, died April 23, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
She retired from nursing at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Mrs. Allsbrook, a native of Smithfield, N.C., was the widow of Charles H. Allsbrook. She was a 65-year member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was involved in the FIDELIS Sunday School Class.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Mary Allsbrook of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Faye Humphries, and a son, Thomas J. Dillard.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Philip Parker in Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and also at 304 Constitution Ave., Portsmouth, the day of the service. Donations may be made to the FIDELIS Sunday School Class.
