ALBERT WELLS JR.

Albert ``Fat Al'' Wells Jr., of the 900 block of Bethel Road, died April 21, 1996.

Mr. Wells, a native of Norfolk, worked as a cement finisher for various construction companies in the surrounding area. He was a former member of Smyrna Church of Christ Holy Disciples, Norfolk. Mr. Wells was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by a sister, Annie Wells Dantzler of Norfolk; three brothers, Tauissant Cheatham of Portsmouth, Jimmy Lee Wells and Elliott Wells, both of Norfolk; devoted friend, Esther Hoover of Chesapeake; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Arlene D. Fulford; and a brother, Robert Wells.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Family and friends will assemble at 902 Bethel Road, Chesapeake, Thursday at 11 a.m. for the procession to the chapel.
