William C. Bennett Jr., of the 9600 block of Baldhill Road, died April 9, 1996.
He was a supervisor for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Gamma Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He won the Omega Man of the Year Award in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Kate Bennett; a daughter; two sons and one stepson; mother, Lillie Bennett of Wadesboro, N.C.; and mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Haughton.
A funeral was held April 12, 1996 at noon in First Baptist Church, Seat Pleasant, Md. Burial is in Wadesboro. Information supplied by Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
