Leon Charles Chevallay Jr., 69, died April 22, 1996, in Norfolk.
He was a retired Navy captain and he was also the retired president of MedCo. Mr. Chevallay was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and he served as docent at the naval museum, Nauticus in Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Mary B. Chevallay; son, Michael and wife, Anna Chevallay stationed in Bahrain; sister, Mary Kathleen Freeman of Hubbardsville, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Chevallay of Wisconsin.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Entombment will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park Mausoleum, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends in the funeral home an hour prior to service. Donations may be made to Old Sailors Home, U.S. Naval Home, 1800 Beach Drive, Gulfport, Miss. 39507-1597.
