Nannie P. Williamson, 86, of the 1000 block of Basie Crescent, died April 22, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
She retired after 26 years from the Chesapeake School System where she served as a cafeteria manager. She was a native of Caswell County, N.C., and was the widow of Robert Williamson. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was also a member of the Women's Forum Club of Portsmouth.
She is survived by her son, Reuben A. Williamson of Portsmouth; three brothers, Oscar Palmer of Yorktown, Franklin Palmer of Danville, Va., and Edgar Palmer of Caswell County; four grandchildren, Reuben, Robert, Ronald, and Rita Williamson; seven great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Thelma E. Williamson; and sister-in-law, Bessie Palmer.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by the Rev. E.T. Knight in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will be at 822 Palmer Street. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
