Harry Beecher Wilson, 79, of 320 Velva Drive, died April 23, 1996, in a Portsmouth nursing home.
A native of Chowan County, he was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, Edenton, N.C., and attended Virginia Heights in Virginia Beach. He was retired from the Naval Air Station as an airplane mechanic.
Survivors include two sisters, Deanie Malsbury of Smithfield, Va., Daisy Blount of Quinton, Va.; a friend, Margaret Halstead of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Billy Presley at Reynoldson Baptist Church, Gates, N.C. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Winslow, Gates. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, N.C., is in charge of arrangements.
