Joan Frances Ross, 59, of the 4000 block of Fourth St., died April 24, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
She was a retired housekeeping supervisor for the Founders Inn. She was a native of Ahoskie, N.C., and a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church, Chesapeake, where she was a member of WMU.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald F. Ross Sr.; four daughters, Rhonda Ross of Connellsville, Pa., Jonie Culpepper and Kim Lane, both of Virginia Beach and Regina Bass of Midlothian, Va.; son, Ronald F. Ross Jr. of Virginia Beach; sister, Louise Jones of Chesapeake; brother, Henry Thomas of Chesapeake and Donald Thomas of Lynchburg, Va.; six grandchildren, Tony Ross, Derek Ross, and Chad Culpepper of Virginia Beach, Ashlee Bass, Gebbie Bass, and Tyler Bass of Midlothian.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today by the Rev. Frank Hughes Jr. in South Norfolk Baptist Church. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements. The family will be at the home of Kim Lane, 4623 Glencoe Lane, Virginia Beach.
