Ruby Hooper Osborne, 85, of the 200 block of Dunwich Road, died April 25, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Stumpy Point, N.C., and the widow of Allen J. Osborne. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters, Bette Osborne Bowles of Chesapeake, Gloria Osborne Agate of Virginia Beach; sister, Mae Hooper Watson of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Joseph T. Carson III in Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge.
