Thelma Cook Page, 85, of 526 Wittington Drive, died Wednesday, April 24, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was born Jan. 28, 1911, in Williamston, N.C., and she lived there until 2 1/2 years ago when she went into a nursing home in Chesapeake. Mrs. Page was married in 1932 to John D. Page, who died in 1970. She was a retired sales clerk at Proctor Shop and was predeceased by her parents, Thomas C. and Mary Elizabeth Robertson Cook. She was a member of Church of the Advent in Williamston.
She is survived by her son, James D. Page of Chesapeake; sisters, Mary Clayton and Sarah Menaugh, both of Williamston; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of the Advent. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the residence of Sarah Menaugh, 119 W. Church St., Williamston.
