Ruby E. Boggs Thompson, 88, of the 4000 block of Atlantic Ave., died April 25, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Elliot County, Ky. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Mr. Harry H. Thompson, who passed away on April 8, 1996. She attended First Colonial Baptist Church in Virginia Beach and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Graham of Mansfield, Ohio, Cleoyn Vanover and Patricia Branthover, both of Virginia Beach; a brother; three sisters; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at the Miller Funeral Home in Ashland, Ky., at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling local arrangements.
