Ralph Russell ``Boobie'' Perkinson Sr., 78, died Monday, April 22, 1996, in a Virginia Beach nursing home.
Mr. Perkinson was born in Berkley, Va., and was the son of the late Harry and Daisy Vaughan Perkinson. He was the retired owner and operator of Perkinson Used Cars, Moyock.
Survivors include his wife, Estelle Robb Perkinson; six daughters, Daisy Whitley of Currituck, N.C., Lorraine Hall of Geraldine, Ala., Susan Byrd of Richmond, Cynthia Hall of Norfolk, Martha Terry of Denver, Colo., and Esther Weinschenk of Virginia Beach; three sons, Glen Russell Perkinson of Keysville, Va., Ralph Russell ``Pee Wee'' Perkinson Jr. of Norfolk and Harold Gene Perkinson of Pennsylvania; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Moyock, N.C., Volunteer Fire Department.
