Johnnie L. Taylor, 85, died April 25, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mr. Taylor, a native of Portsmouth, retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Temple.
Survivors include seven nieces, Jean Whitehurst, Sharon Coley, Ruth Terry, Shirley Fields, Rosemary Lee, Virginia L. Devreaux, Dorothy B. Caldwell; and a nephew, Isaiah Black.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Patricia Coker-Bell at Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will assemble at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
