Lewis Milton Moseley, 72, of the 3800 block of Cedar Lane, died April 25, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Moseley was a native of Lunenburg County, Va., and was a retired Virginia State Trooper after 31 years of service. Mr. Moseley was also retired from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He was a member of American Legion Post (NU)310 and was also the former treasurer for the Grace Community Chapel, where he was active for many years.
Mr. Moseley is survived by his wife, Doris H. Moseley; two daughters, Bonnie Savelle and her husband, Carlyle, and their three children, Beth, Paul and Wendy, all of Virginia Beach, and Peg Mehaffey and her husband, Billy, and their two children, Allison and Rachel, all of Lexington Park, Md.; a son, Tim Moseley and his wife, Carolyn, and their two children, Carrie and Travis, all of Chesapeake; and a brother, Jack Moseley of Hopewell, Va.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum by the Rev. Tom Potter. The family will receive friends at their residence at 3829 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the Hope Haven Children's Home, 3000 North Landing Road, Virginia Beach. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements.
