Blanche Hayes Braswell, 85, of the 6400 block of Clare Road, died April 25, 1996.
Mrs. Braswell, the widow of Robert Braswell, was retired from Roses Department Stores. She was a native of Louisberg, N.C., and was a member of Norview Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Josephine Burns of Florida, and Barbara Fowler and Jenny DeVoe, both of Norfolk; a son, Jim Braswell of Nevada; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday by Dr. James Bradshaw at Norview Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville, N.C., at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to Norview Baptist Church.
