Mary Janice Rody Lawson, 45, of the 5000 block of LaRay Drive, died April 24, 1996.
She was a native of Indiana and a Catholic. She was a greenhouse worker at Kings Florist.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane G. Lawson of Virginia Beach; two sons, Tom K. Lawson and Paul M. Lawson, both of Chesapeake; her mother, Jane D. Kidder; and her father, James Martin Rody.
A Liturgy of the Resurrection will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday in Church of the Ascension, Virginia Beach, by Father James E. Parke. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Elkhart, Ind. The family will be at the church Sunday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. before the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lawson Children's Fund, c/o Church of the Ascension, 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge.
