Clifton M. Carson Jr., 63, died April 26, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Carson, a retired metal worker, worked for American Sheet Metal Co. in Norfolk. He was a Protestant and a native of Norfolk. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers of America. Mr. Carson was the son of the late Nellie B. Carson and Clifton M. Carson Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Carson; a son, Dwayne L. Ross and his wife, Delores of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mildred McMillen of Roper, N.C., Mabel Boschen of Elizabeth City, N.C., Virginia Sharp of Chesapeake; a brother, Jerry Carson; a granddaughter, Kari Ross of Virginia Beach; and a great-grandson, Joshua Ross of Virginia Beach. He will be remembered by many loving friends and an extended family.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by Pastor Dave Libengood. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Immanuel Baptist Church, 1012 Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake, Va. 23320.
