Katherine K. Cooper, 74, of 2800 Omohundro Ave., died April 24, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Hobbsville, N.C., and was retired from Norfolk Naval Base. She was a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold Cooper; a daughter, Gloria Cooper Moody of Suitland, Md.; a grandson, Trent O. Cooper of Norfolk; sister, Nicola Goodman of Sunbury, N.C.; brother-in-law, Edon Cooper of Baxley, Ga.; sister-in-law, Sophie MacFarland of Baltimore, Md.; sister-in-law, Pearlie Mae Simpson of Baxley; and several devoted stepsisters, stepbrothers, nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul C.M.E. Church by the Rev. T.R. McKenney, pastor. Viewing will be Sunday, April 28, from 5 to 6 p.m. in Graves Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
