Businesses and residents in the Military Highway and Virginia Beach Boulevard area are joining with the city to sponsor a public safety and economic forum next week.
The forum, called ``Reshaping for the Future,'' will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday at Morrison's Cafeteria at Military Circle. Topics will include crime in the area and a $39 million renovation of Military Highway.
Mayor Paul Fraim will host the program. Also scheduled to speak are Vice Mayor Paul Riddick; Police Chief Melvin High; Rick Polley, general manager of Military Circle Shopping Center; and Diane O'Brien, general manager of Janaf Shopping Center.
