Hampton University will host the 11th Annual Special Olympics Spring Games today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 300 athletes from the Peninsula, Southside and Northern Virginia will compete in track and field, swimming and softball.
The opening ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. at Hampton University's stadium; track and field, softball and swimming begin at 11 a.m. The public is invited to cheer on the athletes.
