Mr. F. Donald Spivey, 62, of 4130 Virginia Road, died Friday, April 26, 1996, in Chowan Hospital.
A native of Gates County, Mr. Spivey was a son of the late W.O. and Minnie Berryman Spivey and the husband of Mrs. Mary Emma Perry Spivey. Mr. Spivey was a retired grocery manager with S & R Supermarket and a member of Warwick Baptist Church.
Surviving other than his wife is his daughter, Fran Spivey Winslow of Sunbury, N.C.; two sons, Willie Spivey of Brown Summitt, N.C., and Tony Spivey of Greensboro, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Willie Mae Hollowell of Sunbury, N.C.; and four grandchildren. Mr. Spivey is preceded in death by two brothers, J. Lester Spivey and Hanford Lee Spivey.
Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. in Warwick Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Hupp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemtery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the services. The Evans Funeral Home of Edenton is serving the Spivey family.
