Miller Ormond Tyer, 76, of Post Road, Route 1, Bath, and a former resident of Norfolk, died Saturday, April 27, 1996.
He was a member of Washington Lodge (NU)675 A.F. & A.M., St. Thomas Episcopal Church, and a retired employee of Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Keech Tyer of the home; daughters, Linda Canfield Tyer of Bath and Lou Ann Tyer of Chesapeake; stepson, John Daniel Smith of Dallas, Texas; stepdaughters, Lola K. Paszt of Washington, N.C., and Marie K. Brinn of Belhaven; brother, Robert Tyer of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. today in Bath Christian Church. A graveside service with Masonic Rites will be 1 p.m. Monday in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, N.C. The family will be at Paul Funeral Home, Washington, N.C., from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
