Sallie Mapp Savage, 66, died Thursday, April 25, 1996, in Alexandria, Va. She was a native of Nassawadox and the wife of the late Malcolm B. Savage.
Mrs. Savage, who lived for many years in Pottersville, N.J., resided in Onancock. A graduate of Madison College, she was a school teacher in Virginia and New Jersey. She was a member of Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church in Onancock and was active in many community activities.
Survivors include two sons, Malcolm Brooks Savage Jr. of Arlington, Va., and William Mapp Savage of Herndon, Va. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two sisters, Lynn M. Wiggins of Portsmouth and Laura Mapp of Bridgewater, Va.
The funeral service will be held at the Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church today at 2 p.m. with burial service following at Modest Town Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Naomi Makemie Presbyterian Church in Onancock, Va. 23417 or the Red Bank Baptist Church in Marionville, Va. 23408. B.D. Holland Funeral Home in Nassawadox, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
