R.B. Collins, 71, of the 3300 block of Lake Crest Road, died April 27, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital. Born in Washburn, Tenn., he was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Pete Collins; four daughters, Sandra Collins of Washburn, Brenda Underwood of Knoxville, Tenn., Ommo Alexander of Holly Hill, Fla., Ramona B. Ashley of Tampa, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Candy Bouchard of Virginia Beach and Catherine Wood of Virginia Beach; one stepson, Robert Veliz of Utah; two sisters, Frances Stephens of Virginia Beach, Billie Faye Wolfenbarger of Washburn; two brothers, J.C. Collins and Frank Collins Jr., both of Washburn.; thirteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, tonight from 7 to 9 p.m.
