Lillie L. Joynes, 73, of the 8400 block of Old Ocean View Avenue, died April 26, 1996. Born in Virginia Beach, she was the widow of Lawrence R. Joynes Sr.
Survivors include four daughters, Frances Lee of West Virginia, Mabel Baker of Chula Vista, Calif., Wanda Borte and Mildred Cottle, both of Norfolk; son, Lawrence R. Joynes Jr. of Michigan; a sister, Katherine Holloway of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. to receive friends and other times at 231 Twilley St., Norfolk.
