Horace Eugene Burnett, 87, of the 4500 block of St. John Court, died April 26, 1996, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Born in Richmond, he was a retired hardware store manager.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. McManus Bauer Burnett; a daughter, Joan Robie of Portsmouth; two sons, Horace E. Burnett Jr. of Afton, Va., Richard K. Bauer of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Monday at noon by the Rev. Thomas Britton in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Lynnhaven Colony Congregational Building, 2217 W. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach 23454.
